The Maximum Total Supply of $HAKU and $eHAKU combined amounts to 2.4 Billion tokens.

Total Supply is the total amount of $HAKU and $eHAKU that exists at any given time, whether locked or unlocked.

Circulating Supply is the total amount of $HAKU and $eHAKU that exists and is unlocked (excluding any locked portion).

All of the gas fees paid in the Haku Chain are paid in $HAKU and burnt.

The daily Haku node emissions of $eHAKU hinge on the current Total Supply of both $HAKU and $eHAKU combined. $HAKU Total Supply undergoes reduction through the burning of $HAKU as gas within the Haku ecosystem. $eHAKU’s Total Supply also undergoes reduction through the burning of $eHAKU during the redemption process (depending on user inputs).

Dynamic Emission Rate of $eHAKU

The emission rate of $eHAKU adjusts based on the Total Supply of $HAKU and $eHAKU. Emissions halve when hitting specific Total Supply milestones. Conversely, reductions in Total Supply below halving thresholds can trigger an increase in emissions. This mechanism, aimed at sustaining rewards for Haku Nodes and managing supply, ensures a balance between incentivizing participation and controlling token availability.

Emission Reduction Schedule

As the Total Supply hits half of the Maximum Total Supply, daily emission rates start to decrease. This reduction pattern repeats each time the Total Supply grows by half of its previous milestone. The Emission Tranches are detailed below:

85% of $eHAKU emissions support the essential work of Haku nodes, ensuring the network's integrity. A remaining 15% is allocated to a gas subsidy node which is used to help create a gasless experience for players, thereby decreasing friction on chain and likely increasing transaction volume.
